The 2012 BNP Paribas Showdown on Mar. 05, 2012, which is part of "Tennis Night in America," will bring together 4 champion tennis players competing in a one-night single elimination event at Madison Square Garden. The BNP Paribas Showdown returns for its fifth year at the World's Most Famous Arena. The night starts with three-time Grand Slam champion MARIA SHARAPOVA against the World's No. 1 women's player, CAROLINE WOZNIACKI followed by the most decorated player of all time, ROGER FEDERER, against long-time rival and former World No. 1 and US Open Champion ANDY RODDICK. Both matches will be best of three sets. On Monday evening March 5, the top stars from both the ATP and WTA tours will converge on the World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City for the BNP Paribas Showdown. This year, one men's singles exhibition will take place between world number three-ranked Roger Federer of Switzerland and American Andy R! oddick, while on the women's side, former world number one-ranked Caroline Wozniacki will face Russian Maria Sharapova, currently ranked number two in the world.
